Tristan Eaton’s “LEGACY” at Subliminal Projects.

On Saturday, November 7th, 2015 opening at Subliminal Projects in Los Angeles, California and presented by Library Street Collective is the mega-anticipated solo show from prolific artist Tristan Eaton entitled “Legacy,” the artist’s first solo show in the United States in a decade.

Legacy” offers a personal glimpse of Tristan’s past as each portrait for the exhibition is that of a person who has played a central role in his life (as well as his first ever self-portrait).  Tristan says, “A common challenge we all share is adequately describing a loved one to people that never knew them. It’s so important to pass on the legacy of those you love to your children and grandchildren, but also to the whole world. The sharing of human stories is an ancient tradition that bonds us closer together as people. As a result, we understand each other more deeply and become stronger better people when the context of our legacy is clear. The people that came before me made me who I am, and I intend to pass along their stories and strengths by creating this ‘time-capsule’ of an exhibition that honors their legacy and preserves their stories forever.”

Tristan is one of my all time favorite artists and his work is phenomenal, I really wish I could go see this show.

Alongside the artwork will be Tristan’s first ever artbook and also a special edition Montana spray can.  PLUS visitors can grab a USB stick that will include all the work and interviews with the artist.  “Legacy” will be on view only until November 14th, 2015.
